Process retail sales transactions efficiently while handling cash, credit cards, and mobile payments with precision. Maintain cleanliness of the café area, including counters, equipment, and seating areas, adhering to food handling and safety guidelines. Serve food items and beverages promptly while ensuring quality presentation and customer satisfaction. Manage food preparation tasks such as assembling sandwiches or snacks as needed during busy periods. Assist in inventory management by restocking supplies and monitoring product freshness. Provide excellent customer service by addressing questions, resolving issues quickly, and creating a positive experience for every guest. Follow proper cash handling procedures during shift changes and end-of-day reconciliation. Support team members with other duties as required to ensure smooth café operations. Qualifications Previous experience in food service or café environments is preferred but not required; enthusiasm to learn is essential! Familiarity with POS systems like Aloha POS or Micros POS is a plus. Strong customer service skills with a positive attitude and excellent communication abilities. Ability to handle cash transactions accurately while maintaining attention to detail in retail math. Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures. Experience preparing beverages as a barista or in a coffee shop setting is highly desirable. Good time management skills to prioritize tasks during busy periods efficiently. Basic math skills for processing transactions and managing cash register operations. Ability to stand for extended periods, walk comfortably around the café, and perform light cleaning duties as needed.
