As a Barista, you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality beverages and providing outstanding customer service in a fast-paced café environment. Your expertise in coffee preparation and your ability to engage with customers will help foster a welcoming atmosphere that keeps patrons coming back. Responsibilities Prepare and serve a variety of coffee and espresso beverages, ensuring consistency and quality. Operate the Aloha POS or Micros POS systems efficiently for order processing and payment handling. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the café area, adhering to food safety and food handling standards. Engage with customers, providing knowledgeable recommendations and ensuring a positive experience. Handle cash transactions accurately, utilizing basic math skills for cash handling and retail math. Assist in food preparation and serving, ensuring compliance with food service protocols. Manage time effectively during busy periods to ensure timely service without compromising quality. Collaborate with team members to maintain smooth operations throughout shifts. Qualifications Previous barista experience or coffee experience is preferred but not required. Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with patrons. Familiarity with POS systems, particularly Aloha or Micros, is advantageous. Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Basic math skills for accurate cash handling and transaction processing. Knowledge of food safety regulations and practices within the food industry is essential. Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while also being self-motivated.
