Job Description

Duties:
A barista prepares and serves high-quality hot or cold coffee beverages, espresso drinks, refreshers, smoothies, and food items while providing excellent customer service in a fast-paced environment. Key duties include operating espresso machines, blenders, and grinders. Managing cash transactions, maintaining cleanliness of machines and work area, and restocking supplies. Ideal candidates have strong communication skills and a passion for the customer service industry.
MUST BE AVAILABLE MONDAY THROUGH THURSDAY 8
00AM-12:00PM
MUST BE A CURRENT HCC STUDENT FOR THE SUMMER AND/OR FALL 2026 SEMESTER. MUST BE ENROLLED IN AT LEAST 6 CREDITS. UNLESS FIRST-SEMESTER STUDENT, MUST HAVE ATTAINED A 2.0 SEMESTER GPA DURING THE LAST SEMESTER ATTENDED.
Additional requirements: High school diploma or equivalent. Knowledge of coffee drink varieties, and roast profiles is a plus. Commitment to health and safety regulations. Current ServSafe Food Handler Certificate is a plus. Must be available Monday thru Friday for 20+ hour work week Prior experience in coffee shop, food service or customer service is preferred. Ability to stand, walk, and bend for extended periods during shifts. Proficiency in operating and maintaining espresso machines, grinders, and blenders A friendly, engaging personality with the ability to work in a high-energy, team-oriented environment. Flexibility to work early mornings, weekends, and special events
