Barista is a key position which offers growth potential into a Tea Master. The Barista is a hands-on position to carry out all tea making activities. This position reports directly to the Manager. Ability to prepare drinks, recipe specific with minimal errors Ability to make bubbles, Teas and other products Ability to complete all opening and closing tasks Ability to maintain product quality along with following operational procedures Ability to work individually and in a team environment Ability to increase sales through suggestive selling i.e. adding toppings; sampling Anticipate store needs on daily basis i.e restocking, checking expiration dates, etc. Foster a positive team environment Demonstrate professionalism, consistency and efficiency on work floor Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to handle kitchen tasks involving hot utensils Ability to lift up to 50 Lbs Qualifications Experience in a food/beverage environment Possess excellent communication and people skills Able to stand for 6+ hours and lift up to 50 lbs Experience using POS systems Able to write, read, and speak English Strong work ethic Must live in close proximity to store; have reliable transportation
