Duties Engage with customers to provide friendly service, answer questions, and recommend menu items Maintain cleanliness of the café area, including food handling stations, seating areas, and equipment Manage time effectively during busy periods to serve customers promptly while maintaining high service standards Pull and serve illy espresso to standard — lattes, cappuccinos, macchiatos, Americanos, cortados — with consistent dose, yield, and texture Steam milk to proper temperature and microfoam; latte art is trained, not required to start Execute our signature builds: Salted Caramel Latte, Lavender Mint Latte, Matcha Latte, Chai Latte, Coconut and Caramel Cream Cold Brew Run the register and handle cash and card; apply comps and refunds only with shift-lead approval and a POS reason code Greet every guest within 30 seconds; know the menu cold, including allergens and dairy alternatives Clean and sanitize steam wands after every use; sanitize all food-contact surfaces at least every four hours Open or close the café to checklist: equipment, temperature logs, pastry case, drawer count, deposit, alarm What we are looking for Previous barista experience or food service background preferred; familiarity with café operations is a plus Strong customer service skills with the ability to connect positively with diverse guests Knowledge of beverage preparation techniques including coffee brewing and drink service Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail Food safety certification or willingness to obtain certification upon hire is preferred Six or more months of espresso experience preferred — we will train the right personality from zero Genuine hospitality.
