Dara at Dawn, the morning coffee shop run out of Dara Bistro in Cumberland Center, is hiring for one full time, Wednesday-Sunday 6am-1pm Team Lead Barista.

Please note:

this is a year round position and so not appropriate for High School/College students. Dara at Dawn is the morning coffee shop portion of Dara Bistro, a fine dining restaurant in Cumberland Center. Dara at Dawn is far more casual than the Bistro, it is family friendly and fast and casual. Customers order at the counter, with options being Breakfast Sandwiches, baked goods, and coffee drinks.

Your average day looks like:

6am-6:40am

• set up the counter area for opening, put out baked goods, make coffee, ensure paper goods are stocked and dining room is tidy 6:40-7:00am
• take a break/eat something 7:00-10:00
• our busiest time, you will be taking orders using our POS, replenishing coffee and baked goods as needed, making coffee drinks to order, and delivering orders once completed to seated customers. keeping the dining room clean and washing customer dishes. 10:00-12:00
• covering other employee breaks, starting to clean and close the shop. restocking paper goods and slicing baked goods for the next morning. 12:00-1:00
• clean up and go home!

Generally speaking we are leaving between 12:45 and 1:15, depending on how clean up goes. As the team lead you will be responsible for "leading" the day, Ensuring that all daily checklists are completed. Some Experience in the restaurant world is helpful, but not required. This is a customer service job, so the ability to communicate well and take orders accurately is important.
