What You'll Be Doing Prepare and serve hot or cold beverages, such as coffee, espresso drinks, blended coffees, or teas. Describe menu items to customers or suggest products that might appeal to them. Prioritize and time manage when there are many guests in store. Follow all procedures for the cash register and ring every transaction up as it occurs. Clean and sanitize work areas or equipment. Work well under pressure with a positive "team" attitude. Take the initiative to "Make it Right" whenever necessary and read guests needs. Effectively multitask (ring drinks, listen to guests, fill items, answer phones, etc.). Create merchandise displays that are up-to-date and attractive to guests. Recognize our loyal guests, or "regulars", by their names and preferred drinks. Receive and ticket all incoming merchandise. Effectively communicate with fellow associates. Complete daily opening/closing/check-out checklists. What You Need for this Position Ability to self-start and create projects during slow times. Able to stand for long periods of time, up to 8 hours or more. Able to stoop and bend. Able to lift up to 40 pounds from time to time. Able to safely work with potentially dangerous chemicals and equipment. Able to comply with safety and health code standards. Able to handle responsibilities that require repetitive motion tasks.
