About us Peace Pie Company is an artisanal pie shop located in Marquette, Michigan. Founded in 2015 by Lorri Smith, Peace Pie Company began as a small operation at the Downtown Marquette Farmers Market. After years of dedication, perfecting the craft of pie baking, and continuous support from the community, she partnered with Patty Barton to open Peace Pie Company's brick & mortar in March of 2024. We are committed to offering handmade pies and baked goods made with quality ingredients and crafted with creativity. Our Mission is to Bake the World a Better Place by providing our community an authentic pie shop experience in Peaceful, Loving and Joyful space. Happiness, Community, Service, Fairness, Creativity Objective The purpose of the front of house counter role is to be the face of Peace Pie Company when guests come through the door. This means providing outstanding customer service for everyone (including co-workers), while maintaining a clean, organized and efficient storefront. Responsibilities Provide a positive, friendly & welcoming guest experience Process payments using the POS system Assist customers in selecting baked goods and educating on ingredients Plating or packaging slices & whole pies, cookies and hot foods Preparing beverages including- hot coffee, cold brew, cold foams for coffees, tea & specialty drinks (Barista lite-we don't have an espresso machine) Dishwashing as needed (We know, we know…) Maintain a clean and organized display case, seating area & restrooms (If there's time to lean, there's time to clean [wink, wink] ) Communication with back of house staff & management for front end needs & feedback (This is SUPER important!)
