Position Description The Shift Lead plays an important role within our coffee shop, ensuring consistency, quality, and excellence in every cup we serve. This position blends hands-on barista responsibilities with daily operational support, helping keep the shop running smoothly while delivering a positive experience for both customers and team members.

Schedule Part Time:

15-30 hrs/week Mornings & afternoons Weekends as needed

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare and serve high-quality food, espresso drinks, coffees, teas, and specialty beverages Train, mentor, and support baristas to uphold company standards and best practices Help oversee daily operations behind the bar, ensuring speed, accuracy, and consistency Handle short notice call-ins as needed. Monitor inventory of coffee, milk, syrups, and supplies. Monitor equipment and food temperature logs, sanitizer concentration records, date and time marking Maintain and troubleshoot espresso machines, grinders, and brewing equipment Ensure all health, safety, and sanitation guidelines are followed Provide excellent customer service and set the tone for a welcoming café environment Assist management to develop seasonal drinks, improve workflows, and enhance the customer experience Lead by example, fostering teamwork, positivity, and professionalism

Preferred Qualifications:

Strong knowledge of coffee preparation, espresso techniques, & food prep Excellent communication and organizational abilities Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail Dependable, proactive, and passionate about coffee and customer service Must be 18+ years of age Role Requirements Must be 18 years of age or older 1 or more years of barista experience (lead or supervisory role preferred) Preferred Education Minimum of a
