Job Summary We are seeking an energetic and friendly Barista to join our vibrant café team! In this role, you will be the face of our establishment, delivering exceptional customer service while crafting high-quality beverages and maintaining a clean, welcoming environment. Your enthusiasm for coffee and passion for providing memorable experiences will help create a lively atmosphere that keeps customers coming back. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills in food and beverage service, retail transactions, and team collaboration. Responsibilities Prepare and serve a variety of non-alcoholic beverages including coffee, tea, smoothies, and specialty drinks with precision and care. Operate POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS to process retail sales transactions efficiently and accurately. Engage with customers warmly, taking orders, answering questions about menu items, and providing excellent customer service. Maintain cleanliness of the café area, including food handling, beverage preparation stations, and dining spaces to ensure food safety standards are met. Handle cash register operations, processing cash transactions accurately while managing cash handling responsibilities. Restock supplies as needed, ensuring all ingredients and products are fresh and available for service. Follow food safety protocols and proper food handling procedures to uphold health standards at all times. Qualifications Prior barista experience or food service experience is highly preferred; familiarity with café operations is a plus. Knowledge of POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is advantageous. Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally. Basic math skills for retail math, cash handling, and transaction processing. Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Time management skills to ensure timely beverage preparation and order delivery. Commitment to food safety standards and proper food handling procedures.
