Responsibilities & Requirements Previous barista, café, or food-service experience is preferred, with the ability to prepare and serve high-quality coffee, teas, mocktails, and specialty beverages with precision and enthusiasm. Create engaging social media reels and posts related to café events, products, promotions, and the Markhor Tea Lounge location. Video editing and content-creation skills are a plus. Podcasting experience is a plus. Sales and customer-service experience is highly valued, along with the ability to engage customers and represent the Markhor Tea Lounge brand professionally. Operate the POS system accurately, including sales processing and cash handling. Kitchen management or supervisory experience is a strong plus. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the café, including food preparation stations and dining areas. Manage time effectively during busy periods to ensure timely service and smooth café operations. Follow food safety protocols and proper food-handling procedures to uphold health and sanitation standards. Demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills . Maintain a friendly, positive, energetic, and customer-focused personality . Work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced café environment . Be reliable, responsible, motivated, and willing to learn new skills. Be comfortable representing the Markhor Tea Lounge brand and creating a welcoming experience for guests. Skills Proven experience as a barista or in food service with a strong understanding of beverage preparation techniques. Familiarity with POS systems like Aloha POS and Micros POS for efficient sales processing. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with diverse guests. Strong attention to detail in food safety practices, cleaning routines, and food handling procedures. Effective time management skills to prioritize tasks during busy periods while maintaining quality standards.
