Job Description

Job Summary Join our team as a Front of House Associate. You will be the friendly face welcoming customers at our farmer's market/cafe/bar/venue, taking orders, preparing beverages, serving to-go orders, and ensuring a clean, inviting environment. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills in food and beverage service while contributing to a positive community space.
PAY:
$17/hr base pay PLUS tips! Responsibilities Greet guests warmly and provide attentive, friendly service throughout their visit Take customer orders accurately using the POS system Toast Prepare a variety of simple alcoholic & non-alcoholic beverages, coffee drinks, and serve light food items following safety and quality standards Process retail sales transactions efficiently while handling cash, credit cards, and other payment methods Maintain cleanliness of the café, including counters, tables, restrooms, equipment, and your station during slow periods Ensure food safety and proper food handling procedures are followed at all times Assist with inventory management and restocking supplies as needed Support team members during busy periods by multitasking effectively in a fast-paced environment Requirements Previous experience in food service or café environments is preferred; barista/bartender experience is a plus Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with diverse guests Knowledge of POS systems for processing transactions Basic math skills for handling cash transactions and retail math calculations Ability to prepare beverages and perform food handling safely Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks efficiently during peak hours Attention to detail in cleaning, food safety practices, and order accuracy Experience with retail sales transactions and cashiering responsibilities Familiarity with the food industry standards related to food safety and hygiene
Pay:
$22.00 - $25.00 per hour Expected hours: 5.0 - 15.0 per week
