Overview Join our Parlor team as a Barista/Cashier, where your energy and enthusiasm will create memorable experiences for every guest. In this dynamic role, you'll serve freshly brewed coffee and delicious food, expertly handle transactions, and deliver outstanding customer service. Your positive attitude and attention to detail will help foster a welcoming environment that keeps customers coming back. This job is an hourly wage +tips. Ideally candidate has open availability willing to work 25-30+ hours / wk Responsibilities Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages, teas, and food items with precision and care. Operate POS system (Toast) to process sales accurately and efficiently. Manage cash handling duties, including cash register operations, change distribution, and balancing cash drawers at shift end. Provide friendly, attentive customer service by taking orders, answering questions, and ensuring guest satisfaction. Maintain cleanliness and food safety standards by following proper food handling and preparation procedures. Assist with food preparation tasks to ensure timely service during busy periods. Manage time effectively to serve customers promptly while maintaining high-quality service standards. Skills Proven experience as a barista or in food service environments with knowledge of coffee preparation techniques. Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS for efficient transaction processing. Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with diverse guests. Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tasks during peak hours smoothly. Basic math skills for cash handling, retail math, and accurate transaction processing. Knowledge of food safety regulations and proper food handling procedures. Ability to work collaboratively within a team while maintaining a positive attitude in a fast-paced setting.
