We're looking for a friendly, dependable, and hardworking individual to join the Crossroads Cream & Coffee team. This position will primarily work morning and opening shifts, helping prepare the shop for the day and serving our coffee and breakfast customers. Team members may also assist with ice cream service and other areas of the shop as needed. We're a locally owned, community-focused business, and we're looking for someone who takes pride in providing great service, keeping a clean and welcoming space, and helping things run smoothly. Responsibilities Open the cafe and prepare the shop for daily service Prepare espresso drinks, brewed coffee, matcha, chai, and other beverages Prepare and serve breakfast and other menu items Set up and stock the coffee, food, and service areas Greet customers warmly and provide friendly, efficient service Operate the point-of-sale system and accurately handle transactions Maintain cleanliness of counters, equipment, dining areas, and workstations Wash dishes and complete routine cleaning throughout the shift Restock cups, syrups, milk, food items, paper products, and other supplies Monitor inventory and communicate low-stock items to management Follow recipes, portion standards, food-safety procedures, and shop policies Assist with ice cream, register, food preparation, and other areas of the shop when needed including cleaning, organizing restocking, etc. Complete opening, shift-change, and other assigned checklists Help create the warm, welcoming atmosphere we want every Crossroads customer to experience What We're Looking For Dependable and punctual, especially for early morning shifts Friendly, positive, and comfortable interacting with customers Able to work independently and stay productive without constant supervision Detail-oriented and able to follow recipes and procedures consistently Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment Willing to clean, restock, prep, and help wherever needed Able to work well as part of a small team Previous barista, restaurant, or customer-service experience is helpful Physical Requirements This position requires standing and walking for extended periods, frequent bending and reaching, and the ability to safely lift and carry supplies and products used in normal operations (up to 50lbs). Schedule This position will primarily work opening and morning shifts on Wednesday, Friday and Saturday with additional hours potentially available depending on scheduling needs.
