Job Description
Overview We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Barista to join our team in a vibrant café environment. The ideal candidate will have a love for coffee and a commitment to providing exceptional customer service. As a Barista, you will be responsible for crafting high-quality beverages, maintaining a clean workspace, and ensuring that every customer has a delightful experience. Responsibilities Prepare and serve a variety of coffee and tea beverages according to established recipes and standards. Operate the POS systems efficiently for order processing and cash handling. Provide outstanding customer service by greeting customers, taking orders, and addressing any inquiries or concerns. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the café, including food preparation areas, equipment, and dining spaces. Adhere to food safety guidelines and ensure compliance with health regulations during food handling and preparation. Assist in inventory management by monitoring stock levels of coffee beans, syrups, milk, and other supplies. Engage with customers to promote sales and recommend menu items based on their preferences. Perform basic math calculations for cash handling and retail transactions accurately. Experience Previous barista experience or background in the food service industry is preferred. Familiarity with coffee preparation techniques and equipment is highly desirable. Strong time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently during peak hours. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to create a welcoming atmosphere for guests. Knowledge of food safety practices and proper food handling techniques is essential. Basic math skills for cashiering duties, including retail math for accurate transactions.
