Job Overview We are seeking a passionate and customer-oriented Barista to join our team. As a Barista, you will be responsible for creating a welcoming atmosphere for our customers while expertly preparing and serving high-quality beverages and food items. Your role will involve utilizing your knowledge of coffee and food service to ensure an exceptional experience for every guest.

This position is part-time, full time, weekend rotation needed, holidays needed. Wages starts at $11 an hour plus tips. (tips average between $2-$8 an hour depending on shift and crowd) Duties Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages, teas, and food items according to established recipes and standards. Operate the Aloha POS or Micros POS systems efficiently for order processing and payment handling. Provide outstanding customer service by engaging with customers, taking orders accurately, and addressing any inquiries or concerns. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the café area, ensuring compliance with food safety and hygiene standards. Assist in food preparation, including baking pastries or preparing light meals as needed. Handle cash transactions responsibly, ensuring accurate cash handling and basic math calculations during sales. Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations during peak hours while managing time effectively. Stay knowledgeable about menu items, including seasonal offerings, to enhance sales opportunities and customer satisfaction. Requirements Previous barista or coffee experience is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided. Strong customer service skills with the ability to create a friendly environment for patrons. Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha or Micros is a plus. Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Basic math skills for accurate cash handling and retail math calculations. Knowledge of food safety practices and food handling regulations is essential. Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented setting while also being self-motivated when needed. Flexibility to work various shifts, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays as required by the café schedule.
