Job Description
Overview We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Barista to join our team in a vibrant café environment. The ideal candidate will have a love for coffee and customer service, bringing enthusiasm and energy to every interaction. As a Barista, you will be responsible for crafting high-quality beverages, providing excellent customer service, and maintaining a clean and welcoming atmosphere for our guests. Responsibilities Prepare and serve a variety of coffee drinks, teas, and other beverages according to established recipes and standards. Operate the Aloha POS or Micros POS systems efficiently for order processing and payment transactions. Provide exceptional customer service by engaging with customers, taking orders accurately, and addressing any inquiries or concerns. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the café area, including food preparation stations and dining spaces. Ensure compliance with food safety standards and proper food handling practices during all stages of food preparation. Assist in inventory management by tracking supplies and reporting shortages to management. Collaborate with team members to create a positive work environment while meeting sales goals. Utilize basic math skills for cash handling and retail math tasks during transactions. Requirements Previous barista experience or experience in the food service industry is preferred. Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with customers. Familiarity with Aloha POS or Micros POS systems is a plus but not mandatory; training will be provided. Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Basic math skills for cash handling and accurate transaction processing. Knowledge of food safety standards and practices related to food preparation and handling. A passion for coffee and serving others in a café setting is essential.
