Duties Oversee daily cashiering operations, processing retail sales transactions accurately using POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS. Prepare a variety of non-alcoholic beverages, including coffee drinks, teas, and specialty beverages, smoothies, and fresh juices ensuring quality and consistency. Lead the team in food handling and food preparation tasks while adhering to food safety standards and proper sanitation procedures. Provide outstanding customer service by greeting guests warmly, taking orders efficiently, and addressing inquiries or concerns promptly. Maintain cleanliness of the café area, including counters, equipment, and seating areas, through regular cleaning routines. Manage cash handling responsibilities, including processing cash transactions, giving correct change, and reconciling cash drawers at shift end. Support team members with training on POS systems, beverage service techniques, and food safety protocols to foster a collaborative work environment. Qualifications Previous experience in food service or café environments with barista experience preferred. Familiarity with POS systems such as Clover or Square is highly desirable. Strong skills in sales, cash handling, and retail transactions with attention to accuracy. Knowledge of beverage preparation techniques for coffee and non-alcoholic drinks. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to serve guests efficiently and courteously. Basic math skills for processing transactions and managing cash registers confidently. Ability to maintain high standards of cleanliness, food safety, and food handling practices. Effective time management skills to prioritize tasks during busy periods. Servesafe Manager Certificate (or willing to acquire before starting).
