In this dynamic role, you'll craft delicious beverages, scoop icecream, make sandwiches, and handle retail sales transactions. You will also help customers with herbal questions that will be taught during paid training. You will deliver exceptional customer service that keeps our guests coming back. Your energy and attention to detail will help create a welcoming atmosphere, ensuring every visitor enjoys a memorable experience. Whether you're preparing coffee, scooping ice cream, or helping with with your new found herbal wisdom, your enthusiasm will drive the success of our bustling bodega environment. Duties Prepare a variety of beverages, including coffee, tea, and specialty drinks, following established recipes and food safety standards Operate POS systems to process retail sales transactions accurately and efficiently Greet customers warmly, take their orders promptly, and serve beverages and food items with care and professionalism Handle cash, credit card, and mobile payments securely while processing cash transactions with accuracy using basic math skills Maintain cleanliness of workstations, equipment, and retail floor by performing regular cleaning duties. Manage food handling responsibilities by adhering to proper food preparation and storage procedures in a fast-paced environment Assist with inventory management by restocking supplies and ensuring all items are prepared and presented attractively Experience Previous experience in food service or café environments is highly preferred; barista or herbal experience is a plus Familiarity with POS systems enhances efficiency in transaction processing Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with diverse guests Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling techniques Ability to perform basic math accurately for cash handling and transaction processing Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks during busy periods Experience in beverage preparation, especially coffee or specialty drinks, is desirable for delivering quality service Embark on a rewarding journey where your passion for coffee, tea, herbs, and dedication to customer satisfaction, and teamwork spirit will shine!
