A Barista prepares and serves coffee and other beverages at coffee houses or coffee bars. Takes customer orders, serves baked goods and snacks, runs and maintains coffee making equipment and monitors supplies.

Key Responsibilities:
Greet customers warmly as they enter the cafe and answer any questions regarding ingredients and beverage options. Accurately take orders while paying attention to customer preferences (e.g., coffee blend, dairy, and sugar ratios). Craft a variety of hot and cold beverages, including specialty coffees, teas, and more —all while following our recipes and maintaining consistency in taste and presentation. Serve and prepare a selection of pastries, light snacks, and grab-and-go items Process payments efficiently, whether by cash or credit card, and reconcile the till accurately at the end of your shift. Keep the coffee bar area clean and organized. Maintain stock of clean mugs, plates, and brewing equipment. Report any maintenance needs promptly. Comply with all health and safety regulations, ensuring a clean and safe environment for both customers and staff. Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) for minimizing waste, conserving energy, and limiting water usage. Share ideas on improving sustainability practices.
Qualifications:
Must be 16 or older to apply •Must have experience in a cafe setting Excellent communication skills, both with customers and team members. Ability to stand for long periods, perform repetitive motions with hands and wrists, and lift up to 25lbs regularly and up to 50lbs occasionally.
