Barista & Cashier We are looking for people interested by the french culture and food. The most important thing we are looking for is a person willing with a positive vibes but focus on work and get the task done. You will play a crucial role in creating an inviting atmosphere for our customers while delivering exceptional service. You will be responsible for preparing high-quality coffee and food items, ensuring customer satisfaction, and maintaining a clean and organized workspace.
Quick note note on schedule:
Just a quick note regarding the schedule: weekends are our busiest time, so we're looking for someone who is available to work Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays year-round. We also offer evening shifts, typically from 2:00-4:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m., which can be a great fit for university students. This position's compensation includes salary and tips. Duties Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages, teas, and food items with precision and care. Operate the cash register efficiently, handling transactions accurately while providing excellent customer service. Maintain knowledge of menu offerings and provide recommendations to customers based on their preferences. Ensure compliance with food safety standards and cleanliness in food preparation areas. Assist in inventory management by monitoring stock levels and reporting shortages as needed. Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations during busy periods, demonstrating strong time management skills. Engage with customers to create a welcoming environment, addressing any inquiries or concerns promptly. Experience Previous experience in a café or coffee shop setting is preferred but not required; training will be provided. Familiarity with the food industry and basic food preparation techniques is advantageous. Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse clientele. Basic math skills for handling cash transactions and managing orders accurately. A commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safety in all aspects of work.
