Job Description
We are looking for a hands-on, hospitality-driven Café Manager/Lead Barista to join our team. This is a working manager role — we're looking for someone who genuinely enjoys being behind the counter, making great coffee, connecting with guests, and leading by example. You will be responsible for the day-to-day café operation while also working closely with upper management to continue developing and growing the café. The ideal candidate is an experienced barista or café professional who is ready to take the next step into leadership—or an experienced café manager who still loves being on the floor. What You'll Do
- Work hands-on behind the counter for a significant portion of your shifts
- Lead by example in guest service, coffee preparation, cleanliness, and overall hospitality
- Complete opening/closing procedures and ensuring the café is ready for service
- Manage café ordering, inventory, and product levels
- Help train, coach, and support baristas and café team members
- Collaborate with upper management on seasonal drinks, menu updates, promotions, and café programming
- Help maintain consistent beverage and service standards
- Monitor daily café operations and communicate staffing, inventory, maintenance, and operational needs to upper management
- Assist with scheduling and shift coverage as needed
- Help create a positive, professional, and welcoming team environment
- Support occasional cafe events
- Ensure the café consistently reflects the level of hospitality and service expected at 3 Acres What We're Looking For Previous café, coffee shop, barista, or hospitality leadership experience Coffee and beverage knowledge Hands-on leadership style—you are comfortable working behind the counter and jumping in wherever needed Reliable, punctual, efficient, and accountable Comfortable taking ownership and making decisions independently Organized and detail-oriented, particularly with ordering and inventory Strong communication and team-building skills Comfortable training and mentoring other team members Creative and collaborative when it comes to seasonal beverages and café offerings Available for •early mornings, weekends, and holidays•Comfortable with opening and closing shifts Flexible to occasionally support special events outside of the regular café schedule Ability to maintain a positive attitude and strong hospitality standards in a fast-paced environment
Schedule & Compensation:
This is a full-time position with a schedule that will include a mix of opening, closing shifts, weekends, and holidays based on the cafe needs.
