This role combines hands-on beverage preparation with team support and shift leadership. The Lead Barista will help maintain service quality, assist with training and workflow, and ensure the café remains organized and welcoming throughout the day. Key Responsibilities Prepare coffee, espresso beverages, and other café drinks according to established procedures Welcome customers and provide friendly, professional service Support baristas and café team members during daily shifts Help coordinate workflow during busy service periods Assist with training new team members on beverage preparation and café procedures Monitor product quality, presentation, and service standards Operate the POS system and assist with accurate order processing Maintain clean and organized bar, counter, and customer areas Monitor supplies and assist with restocking as needed Support opening and closing procedures Address routine customer questions or service concerns professionally Communicate shift updates and operational needs to management Qualifications Previous barista or coffee shop experience Prior lead, supervisory, or shift-lead experience is preferred Strong knowledge of coffee and beverage preparation Friendly and professional communication skills Reliable, organized, and comfortable taking initiative Ability to support and guide team members Strong attention to quality, cleanliness, and detail Comfortable working in a fast-paced café environment Flexible availability, including weekends when needed Benefits On-the-job training and leadership development Employee discounts or café perks may be available Opportunities for advancement Flexible scheduling may be available Supportive and team-oriented work environment Additional benefits may vary by position and location About the Company Treehouse Coffee is a coffee-focused business serving customers in a welcoming café environment.
