Pneuma | Westwood, New Jersey Full-Time & Part-Time Positions Available Pneuma is an all-day café, restaurant, and market opening in Westwood, New Jersey. Specialty coffee will be an important part of our all-day experience, and we are looking for talented, hospitality-driven Baristas to join our opening team. We are looking for people who care about great coffee, move with urgency, enjoy interacting with guests, and take pride in maintaining an exceptionally clean and organized bar. The Role Baristas will work closely with our Front of House Manager / Head Barista to execute Pneuma's coffee and beverage program at a consistently high level. The role includes espresso preparation, brewed coffee, specialty beverages, guest service, maintaining the coffee bar, and supporting the overall front-of-house operation. We want baristas who understand that making a great drink is only part of the job. Speed, consistency, cleanliness, and hospitality are equally important. Responsibilities Prepare espresso, coffee, and specialty beverages according to Pneuma's recipes and standards. Properly dose, distribute, tamp, and extract espresso. Steam and texture milk consistently for each beverage. Assist with dialing in espresso and maintaining quality throughout the day. Prepare brewed coffee and other café beverages. Maintain speed and accuracy during high-volume service. Provide warm, knowledgeable, and efficient guest service. Take orders and operate the POS system as needed. Maintain a clean, organized, and fully stocked coffee bar. Complete opening, closing, and restocking procedures. Properly clean espresso machines, grinders, brewers, and other equipment. Monitor milk, coffee, cups, and other beverage inventory throughout the shift. Follow all food safety and sanitation procedures. Communicate shortages, equipment issues, and quality concerns to the Head Barista. Learn Pneuma's food and beverage menu and confidently answer guest questions. Support other front-of-house positions when needed. What We're Looking For Previous specialty coffee or professional barista experience is preferred , but we are willing to train motivated candidates who have the right attitude, attention to detail, and desire to learn.
