Job Overview We are seeking a skilled and customer-oriented Barista and food handler to join our team. As a cafe team member, you will be responsible for crafting delicious beverages, handling food, providing exceptional customer service, and maintaining a clean and welcoming environment for our guests. Duties Prepare and serve a variety of hot and cold beverages such as coffee, tea, alcoholic beverages and specialty drinks following company recipes. Prepare and serve food items following company recipes. Bake products based on the guidelines, which are implemented by the company. Operate and utilize square POS system to process transactions and handle cash with precision. Maintain a clean and organized workspace : Maintain cleanliness and organization of the coffee bar area, including brewing equipment and utensils; clean and organize food & alcohol service areas. Also, clean and organize dining tables, dining area and restrooms. Interact with customers in a friendly and professional manner , taking orders accurately and efficiently. Assist customers in choosing beverages, pastries and/or food items. Uphold excellent knowledge of our menu offerings to provide recommendations and upsell products. Adhere to food safety standards and regulations while handling and preparing food items. Follow alcohol service standards & requirements. Bring in/out outdoor furniture & menu board Handle cash and card transactions accurately. Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient and smooth service. Provide excellent customer service by addressing inquiries and resolving issues promptly. Experience Strong barista experience Experience in the food industry or similar fast-paced environment (Prior experience in a café or similar setting is preferred) Familiarity with alcohol service requirements and responsibilities Proficiency in sales techniques with a focus on customer satisfaction Strong cash handling skills with attention to detail Excellent time management abilities to prioritize tasks effectively Understanding of food safety protocols to maintain a hygienic workspace Ability to follow food safety guidelines for handling perishable items Familiarity with retail math for basic calculations and transactions Ability to multitask in a busy setting while maintaining quality standards in food preparation Sales experience is a plus for promoting products effectively Willingness to learn and help team members as needed
