In this role, you will lead daily café operations, ensuring exceptional customer service while maintaining a clean and efficient environment. As a shift leader, you will oversee beverage preparation, food handling, and retail sales transactions, all while inspiring your team to deliver memorable experiences. Your passion for coffee and commitment to excellence will drive the success of our café and foster a welcoming atmosphere for both customers and staff. Responsibilities Supervise daily café operations, including beverage and food service, ensuring quality standards are met consistently. Lead and motivate team members during shifts, providing guidance on customer service, food safety, and product knowledge. Prepare a variety of non-alcoholic beverages with precision, including coffee drinks, teas, and specialty beverages. Manage cash handling and processing of sales transactions using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS. Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards throughout the café by performing regular cleaning duties and adhering to food safety protocols. Support retail sales efforts by engaging with customers, promoting menu items, and processing transactions efficiently. Assist in training new team members on food preparation, beverage service, POS operation, and customer interaction techniques. Qualifications Proven experience as a barista with strong knowledge of coffee preparation and beverage service. Previous food service experience with familiarity in handling food safety and sanitation standards. Experience operating POS systems such as Shift POS or Micros POS is highly preferred. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage positively and with enthusiasm for all customers. Strong time management skills to prioritize tasks during busy shifts. Basic math skills for cash handling, processing transactions, and balancing registers accurately. Ability to lead by example, motivate team members, and maintain a positive work environment.
