This role includes preparing handcrafted coffee and tea drinks, producing house-made syrups and baked goods, assisting customers with product knowledge and care, supporting retail offerings, and maintaining a polished, welcoming shop environment. This is a skill-focused position that goes far beyond a standard counter-service job. It requires consistency, dependability, and close attention to detail, along with a desire to continue learning. Because of these expectations, Muggswigz baristas are compensated at levels that typically exceed comparable food-service roles. This position is not ideal for someone seeking an easy or low-responsibility shift, particularly if punctuality or reliability are concerns. For individuals interested in building a future in specialty coffee or tea, however, this role offers a strong starting point. We offer both part-time and full-time scheduling. Training pay begins at $13/hour plus tips, with a structured advancement plan that can lead to $22/hour plus bonuses in roughly six months.
