This position includes preparing beverages and food items, providing excellent customer service, operating the register, maintaining cleanliness, and supporting an inclusive work environment for individuals of all abilities. Customer Service Greet customers promptly and warmly Take accurate orders and answer questions about menu items Provide friendly, professional, and efficient service Resolve customer concerns respectfully and escalate issues when needed Beverage & Food Preparation Prepare espresso-based drinks, brewed coffee, teas, and specialty beverages Follow standardized recipes and presentation guidelines Operate espresso machines, grinders, brewers, ovens, and other equipment Prepare and serve food items as required Cash Handling & POS Accurately process cash and credit card payments Operate the point-of-sale (POS) system efficiently and accurately Balance cash drawers according to company procedures Cleanliness & Safety Maintain a clean and organized workstation Clean and sanitize equipment, counters, and service areas Follow food safety, health, and sanitation regulations Comply with company policies and local health codes Teamwork & Operations Provide mentorship and training for team members with developmental and intellectual disabilities Assist with opening and closing duties Restock supplies, cups, and ingredients as needed Minimum Qualifications & Skills High School Diploma or GED Must be able to lift a minimum of 25 pounds Must be able to stand and remain active for the majority of the scheduled shift. Previous barista, food service, or customer service experience preferred Ability to follow directions, recipes, and food safety procedures Reliable attendance and punctuality are essential Ability to multitask and work efficiently under pressure
