Barista

Job Overview We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Full-time Barista to join our Fresh Start Family! The ideal candidate will have a love for coffee and people, with the ability to create an inviting atmosphere for our patrons. As a Barista, you will be responsible for preparing and serving high-quality beverages, pastries, and desserts while ensuring an exceptional customer experience. Must be available to work Sundays. Duties Prepare and serve a variety of coffee drinks, teas, and other beverages according to standard recipes. Operate cash registers and POS systems efficiently, handling transactions accurately. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the café area, including food preparation stations and dining areas. Assist with food offerings as needed, adhering to food safety standards. Engage with customers in a friendly manner, taking orders and providing recommendations based on their preferences. Efficiently receiving Special Order Request and delivering them to our baking team. Monitor inventory levels of coffee beans, syrups, and other supplies; communicate needs to management. Uphold the café's standards for quality and presentation in all food and beverage items served. Stay informed about new products and promotions to effectively sell to customers. Complete Daily, Weekly, and Monthly Cleaning and Standard Operating Procedures. Qualifications Previous experience in food service or café environment is preferred but not required. Basic math skills for handling cash transactions and making change accurately. Knowledge of coffee preparation techniques and equipment is a plus. Familiarity with food safety practices in a food service setting. Strong communication skills with an emphasis on customer service excellence. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
