Job Description
Job Overview Sloan's Ice Cream is looking for a friendly, reliable, and energetic Morning Shift Team Member to join our team! As one of the first faces our customers see each day, you'll play an important role in creating a welcoming atmosphere while delivering exceptional customer service. From preparing drinks and desserts to assisting guests and keeping the shop running smoothly, you'll help ensure every customer has a great experience. If you enjoy working with people, thrive in a fast-paced environment, and have a positive attitude, we'd love to meet you! Responsibilities Greet customers with a friendly, welcoming attitude. Take customer orders accurately using our POS system. Prepare coffee, espresso drinks, ice cream treats, waffles, shakes, and other menu items according to company standards. Maintain a clean, organized, and fully stocked work area throughout your shift. Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines. Process cash and credit card transactions accurately. Assist with opening duties, including preparing the shop for the day. Restock supplies, cups, toppings, and ingredients as needed. Work efficiently with team members to provide quick and friendly service. Answer customer questions and recommend menu items when appropriate. Help maintain the overall cleanliness and appearance of the store. Qualifications Friendly, dependable, and team-oriented. Excellent communication and customer service skills. Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. Comfortable handling cash and using a point-of-sale (POS) system. Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness. Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 pounds. Must be reliable and punctual. Previous restaurant, café, coffee shop, or ice cream shop experience is a plus, but not required—we're happy to train the right person! Why Join Sloan's Ice Cream?
