Process retail sales transactions accurately using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, handling cash and card payments efficiently. Maintain cleanliness of the front counter, food prep areas, and seating spaces by adhering to food safety and sanitation protocols. Assist in food handling and preparation tasks to ensure quality standards are met for baked goods and café offerings. Manage customer orders efficiently during busy periods while ensuring timely beverage and food service. Support inventory management by restocking supplies and monitoring product freshness to uphold quality standards. Skills Proven experience in food service or café environments with barista expertise preferred. Strong knowledge of POS systems like Aloha POS or Micros POS for processing transactions accurately. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with diverse guests. Ability to prepare beverages confidently, including coffee brewing, drink service, and non-alcoholic beverage preparation. Basic math skills for cash handling, giving correct change, and processing sales accurately. Knowledge of food safety practices and proper food handling procedures. Effective time management skills to prioritize tasks during peak hours while maintaining quality standards. Experience with cleaning routines necessary for maintaining a hygienic work environment in food industry settings.
