Job Summary Join our vibrant café team as a Barista and become the heart of our customer experience! Duties Prepare and serve a variety of coffee drinks, teas, and specialty beverages with precision and flair. Handle food preparation tasks including assembling sandwiches, pastries, and other café offerings while maintaining food safety standards. Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS efficiently for transactions, including cash handling and credit card processing. Manage cash register operations accurately, ensuring proper cash handling and balancing at shift end. Provide exceptional customer service by greeting guests warmly, taking orders promptly, and answering questions about menu items. Maintain cleanliness of the café area, including counters, equipment, and seating areas, adhering to food safety regulations. Assist in inventory management by restocking supplies and monitoring product freshness. Support sales initiatives by promoting menu items and upselling when appropriate to enhance guest experience. Follow all food industry standards for serving food safely and handling food products responsibly. Manage time effectively during busy periods to ensure timely service without compromising quality. Collaborate with team members to create a positive work environment focused on teamwork and efficiency. Qualifications Previous barista experience or strong familiarity with coffee preparation techniques is preferred. Experience working with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is highly desirable. Demonstrated customer service skills with a friendly, energetic attitude that engages guests positively. Basic math skills for cash handling, retail math calculations, and transaction balancing. Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures. Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Strong time management skills to prioritize tasks during peak hours.
