As a Barista, you will be responsible for preparing and serving a variety of beverages, ensuring high-quality standards, and providing outstanding customer service in a fast-paced café environment. Your role will involve not only crafting delicious drinks but also fostering a welcoming atmosphere for our patrons. Duties Prepare and serve coffee and espresso beverages according to established recipes and standards. Operate the Clover POS system efficiently for order processing and cash handling. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the café area and dining area adhering to food safety and hygiene standards and maintain the cleanliness of the windows and front door. Engage with customers to provide excellent service, taking orders, answering questions, and making recommendations. Handle cash transactions accurately, including basic math calculations for sales and change. Assist in food preparation and serving as needed, ensuring all items meet quality expectations. Monitor inventory levels of coffee beans, syrups, and other supplies; communicate needs to management. Uphold a friendly and positive demeanor while working collaboratively with team members in a busy environment. Sweep & mop dining area at the end of shift and maintain cleanliness of table and chairs at all time Experience Previous experience as a Barista or in the food service industry is preferred but not required. Familiarity with coffee preparation techniques and equipment is a plus. Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage effectively with diverse clientele. Time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently during peak hours. Basic math skills for cash handling and retail math applications. Knowledge of food safety practices and food handling regulations is advantageous.
