Responsibilities Prepare a variety of espresso drinks with precision and flair, including coffee, tea, and specialty drinks. Serve food items and beverages efficiently while maintaining high standards of quality and presentation. Process cash and card transactions accurately Maintain cleanliness of the café area by performing regular cleaning duties, food handling, and sanitation to ensure food safety compliance. Provide friendly customer service by greeting guests, taking orders, answering questions about menu items, and offering personalized recommendations Support food preparation tasks when necessary, adhering to food safety protocols and proper food handling procedures. Demonstrate excellent time management to handle busy periods efficiently while maintaining attention to detail. Support retail sales efforts by engaging customers in product recommendations and promoting ongoing specials or promotions. Skills Previous barista experience or food service background is preferred, but not required; familiarity with café operations is a plus. Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with diverse guests. Ability to handle cash transactions accurately while maintaining a friendly demeanor. Knowledge of food safety protocols and proper food handling practices in a café or food service environment. Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks during busy periods while maintaining quality standards. Basic math skills for retail math calculations, cash handling, and transaction processing.
