Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Barista to join our new coffee team. You get to work in a brand new coffee shop with a fun and unique atmosphere! The ideal candidate will have a love for coffee and a commitment to providing exceptional customer service. As a Barista, you will be responsible for preparing high-quality beverages, maintaining a clean and inviting environment to include a restroom, and ensuring customer satisfaction. This role requires excellent time management skills and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting. Responsibilities Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages, teas, and other menu items according to established recipes and standards. Operate the cash register and handle transactions accurately using the POS system. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the café area, including equipment, utensils, and seating areas. Assist customers with menu selections and provide recommendations based on their preferences. Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and proper food handling practices. Monitor inventory levels of coffee beans, milk, syrups, and other supplies. Collaborate with team members to create a positive work environment and enhance customer experience. Skills Proficiency in operating cash registers and POS systems. Previous experience in food service or café environments is preferred but not required. Strong time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently during busy periods. Knowledge of food handling, preparation techniques, and food safety standards. Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with customers and team members. A genuine passion for coffee and willingness to learn about different brewing methods and beverage preparation techniques.
