Full Time or Part Time About Us Em & Mẹ Café is a family owned Vietnamese all day café serving authentic Vietnamese coffee, tea, breakfast, bánh mì, fresh salads, and small bites. Our signature Robusta coffee is grown in Vietnam and roasted fresh weekly here in Nashville. We currently serve beer, with wine and cocktails. We're more than a café. We're a place where people gather to discover Vietnamese culture through food, drinks, music, and community. We host weekly Trivia Night, Live Jazz, Singer Songwriter Nights, Book Club, Poetry night, Bingo and Comedy, IRL Dating and other community events. Through genuine hospitality, we strive to create a welcoming space where every guest feels at home. Responsibilities Barista Responsibilities Welcome guests at the bar and create a friendly, welcoming experience. Prepare coffee, tea and other beverages with consistency, quality, and care. Follow recipes, proper pours, presentation standards, and responsible alcohol service practices. Make house syrups, garnishes, and complete daily bar prep. Set up, stock, and maintain the bar throughout the shift, including coffee, mixers, glassware, ice, and other supplies. Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary bar, including equipment, tools, counters, and service areas. Assist guests with beverage selections and share knowledge of our Vietnamese-inspired coffee, flavors, and culture. Monitor inventory and communicate low-stock items or bar needs to management. Work closely with other team members to ensure smooth and timely service. Complete opening and closing duties for the bar. Perform other duties as needed, including running food, bussing tables, restocking, or assisting other areas of the café during busy periods. Who We're Looking For Attitude is everything.
