Job Title:

Barista — The Heavenly Roast Craft coffee with a Smoky Mountain view. The Heavenly Roast is hiring energetic, fast-learning baristas who want more than a paycheck — a team, a view, and a shop that actually has fun.

Pay:

$30.00-$43.00/hour (base wage + pooled tips, based on current team earnings) We're looking for a part-time team member who brings positive energy, real customer service skills, and the flexibility to jump in wherever needed on a given shift. No two days look the same — some mornings you're steaming milk for a line out the door, some afternoons you're restocking pastries and chatting with regulars.

Barista Responsibilities:

Take detailed food and drink orders Accurate cash handling and operation of the Toast POS system Prepare and serve beverages, from simple pours to elaborate seasonal specials Heat and serve food items such as sandwiches and pastries Answer customer questions about menu choices and make recommendations Stock and restock pastries, cookies, and retail items as needed Maintain high cleanliness standards and a clean, organized workstation Other duties as assigned

Requirements:

Demonstrated eye for detail — you catch what others miss, from a mis-rung order to a low pastry case Comfortable following structured opening closing checklists exactly as written, every shift Non-slip, closed-toe shoes Fluent English Must live within 30 minutes of the shop Experience (preferred, not required): Customer service: 1 year

PM Shifts Available:

We run three shifts — opening, midday, and closing — and schedule around availability. Weekend availability required. Shift lengths run 6-10 hours depending on the day and role.
