A Barista prepares and serves coffee and other beverages at coffee houses or coffee bars. Takes customer orders, serves baked goods and snacks, runs and maintains coffee making equipment and monitors supplies.

The Role We are looking for a versatile Barista who is as passionate about the perfect espresso extraction as they are about the perfect boba chew. You'll be the face of Dumont Creamery, crafting high-quality beverages and hand-scooping our signature ice creams to help guests find their perfect sweet fix.
Key Responsibilities Craft Excellence:
Prepare a full menu of espresso-based drinks, artisan teas, and boba beverages to our high standards.
The Perfect Scoop:
Serve our premium ice creams with precision, managing toppings and presentation for every cone, cup, and sundae.
Guest Engagement:
Welcome guests warmly, offer flavor recommendations (for both drinks and scoops!), and handle transactions accurately.
Shop Upkeep:
Maintain a clean, organized, and stocked cafe and creamery station.
Quality Control:
Ensure boba pearls, coffee beans, and ice cream tubs are fresh and meet our quality benchmarks. What You Bring to the
Table Experience:
At least 1-2 years of experience in a high-volume cafe or specialty food environment.
Multitasking Pro:
Ability to switch gears between frothing milk, shaking boba, and scooping ice cream during a rush. The "Vibe": A positive, high-energy personality and a genuine love for customer service.
Reliability:
You show up on time and ready to support your team.
Flexibility:
Availability to work weekends and occasional evenings (our peak treat hours!). Requirements Previous experience in food service or restaurant environments is preferred; experience in quick service or fast-food restaurants is a plus While we provide full training, prior experience behind the espresso machine is a definite plus . Knowledge of POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is advantageous Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with guests of all ages Basic math skills for cash handling, retail math, and making change accurately Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while managing time effectively Food safety certification or willingness to obtain one prior to employment is preferred Experience with food preparation, culinary skills, or kitchen experience is beneficial but not required Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented attitude Flexibility to work during peak hours including weekends if needed; reliable transportation is preferred This position offers an engaging work environment where you can develop your skills in food industry operations while delivering memorable experiences to our customers.
