This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills in food and beverage service while working in a dynamic retail setting. Duties Prepare and serve a variety of coffee, matcha, tea, and specialty drinks, ensuring consistency and quality. Operate POS systems such as Toast to process retail sales transactions accurately and efficiently. Handle cash register operations, process cash transactions, and give correct change while maintaining accuracy in math calculations. Maintain cleanliness of the coffee area including beverage stations and seating areas, adhering to food safety standards. Provide excellent customer service by greeting guests warmly, taking orders promptly, and addressing any questions or special requests. Assist with food preparation tasks as needed, ensuring all food safety guidelines are followed during handling and serving. Manage time effectively during busy periods to serve customers quickly without sacrificing quality or safety. Skills Experience as a Barista or in food service, with strong knowledge of coffee preparation and beverage service techniques! (We will also have training as well) Familiarity with Toast POS for efficient sales processing. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with diverse guests. Strong attention to detail for food handling, drink presentation, and cleanliness standards. Basic math skills for cash handling, processing transactions, and balancing registers accurately. Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism. Knowledge of food safety practices and proper food preparation procedures within the food industry.
