Job Summary:

Learn to serve and explain our Gelatos and Sorbets while providing amazing hospitality. You will develop the skills to independently run a coffee station using a manual espresso machine. Through our in-house coffee training, you will pass the Pitango Coffee Certification Test to master the art of serving precise and consistent espresso drinks. We are looking for team members who stay organized and work efficiently under pressure. ​

Role and Responsibilities:

Customer Experience:

Act as an ambassador of Pitango Gelato at all times, ensuring standards are upheld. Educate customers about the sources and quality of our products to ensure they have the best possible experience. ​

Coffee & Espresso:

Serve as an approved barista, making espresso drinks with consistent temperatures, texture, and latte art. ​

Gelato Service:

Serve as an approved scooper to deliver consistent, quality gelato to customers. ​

Operations & Flow:

Serve beverages efficiently while maintaining customer service standards. Multi-task and take responsibility for other areas of the store (customer area, serving area, back of house) in addition to the espresso bar. ​

Shift Duties:

Restock and clean service/customer areas throughout your shift and at shift change. Open and/or close the store, which occasionally requires working late hours. ​

Reporting:

Report directly to your shift leaders and manager(s). ​

Qualifications and Skills:

Experience:

Customer service: 2 years (Required) |

Barista:

1 year (Preferred).

Note:

Experience influences pay, but passion and personality are key! ​

Personality:

Must be personable and engaging with customers. ​

Reliability:

Must be punctual, have positive references, and have reliable transportation to work. ​

Physical Demands:

Must be able to meet the physical demands of the position, which requires lifting (at least 25 lbs), standing for long periods, and reaching all flavors in the case. ​

Availability:

Availability during weekend shifts is required. Ability to work under pressure during rushes or wait times. ​

Appearance:

Must be able to conform to a dress code, which includes headwear and unpolished nails. ​
