Pickleballerz is hiring a friendly, dependable Part-Time Café Employee to help create a welcoming experience for members and guests. This role supports café operations as well as basic front-desk and facility upkeep responsibilities.

$13.75 per hour

Hours:

Limited, select part-time hours each month; evening and weekend availability is preferred. Perks Free pickleball play at Pickleballerz Employee discount in the Pickleballerz Pro Shop A fun, active work environment with a great team and community Responsibilities Greet members and guests, take café orders, process payments, and provide helpful customer service. Use the point-of-sale system to ring up purchases and check in players. Prepare and serve café food, snacks, nonalcoholic beverages, and alcoholic beverages in accordance with company policies and Virginia ABC requirements. Check valid photo identification for alcohol purchases and refuse service when required by law or company policy. Keep the café, service counters, seating areas, equipment, and front-desk area clean, organized, stocked, and ready for customers. Wipe down counters and tables, vacuum and mop as needed, and clean and maintain restrooms, including toilets. Follow food-safety, sanitation, cash-handling, and opening/closing procedures. Restock supplies, help maintain inventory, and communicate low-stock items, cleaning needs, or maintenance concerns to management. Assist with other café and facility needs as assigned. Requirements Must be 21 years of age or older. Must be comfortable preparing, pouring, and serving alcoholic beverages responsibly. Must be willing to complete Pickleballerz responsible alcohol-service training and follow all Virginia ABC requirements and company policies. Must be able to consistently verify identification and never serve alcohol to anyone under 21 or anyone who appears intoxicated. Comfortable using technology and able to learn the POS and player check-in systems. Reliable transportation and dependable attendance. Comfortable working in a fast-paced, customer-facing environment. Able to stand for extended periods and complete routine cleaning tasks. Café, food-service, cashier, front-desk, or customer-service experience is preferred but not required. Must have a valid form of ID Wage is competitive and will be commensurate with experience.
