Overview TeaDM is looking for a friendly, dependable, and energetic Early Morning Boba Tea Barista to join our Fairfax team. This is a part-time opening position with a fixed schedule of 6:30 AM-10:30 AM, Saturday through Wednesday (20 hours per week) . The schedule works especially well for college students looking for morning hours before afternoon classes, but anyone who can consistently work the listed schedule is welcome to apply. Our team is primarily made up of students and young adults. We keep the environment inclusive and friendly while expecting everyone to work hard, communicate respectfully, and do their part to take care of the store and each other. Because the opener works independently during the beginning of the day, punctuality, reliability, and the ability to work confidently on your own are especially important for this position. Previous food service or café experience is strongly preferred.

Starting pay:

$15/hour for opening shifts or shifts wherein responsibilites include cooking boba. Additional shifts wherein cooking boba is not expected are paid at the rate of $14/hour. What You'll Do Arrive at 6:30 AM and prepare the store to open at 7:00 AM Complete opening procedures and make sure the store is clean, stocked, and ready for customers Cook boba and prepare teas, toppings, and other ingredients as needed Prepare bubble teas, smoothies, and other drinks according to TeaDM recipes and quality standards Greet customers, take orders, answer questions, and provide friendly service Operate the POS system and process cash and card transactions accurately Restock cups, ingredients, toppings, and other supplies throughout the shift Maintain clean and organized workstations, equipment, and customer areas Complete assigned cleaning and deep-cleaning tasks during slower periods Follow food safety, sanitation, and proper food-handling procedures Manage multiple responsibilities independently during the quieter morning hours Morning business is generally slower than our afternoon and evening hours, so this shift requires someone who can stay productive without constant supervision and use downtime to prep, clean, stock, and complete assigned tasks.
