As a Barista, you will be responsible for creating a welcoming atmosphere for our customers while preparing and serving high-quality beverages and food items. You will play a crucial role in delivering exceptional customer service and ensuring that each guest has a memorable experience. Duties Prepare and serve a variety of coffee and tea beverages according to established recipes and customer preferences. Operate the Toast POS system for order processing, cash handling, and sales transactions. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area, including equipment, utensils, and seating areas. Engage with customers to provide excellent service, address inquiries, and promote menu items. Handle cash transactions accurately using the cash register and ensure proper cash handling procedures are followed. Assist in food preparation, including pastries and light snacks, ensuring adherence to food handling safety standards. Manage time effectively to meet customer demands during peak hours while maintaining quality service. Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations and a positive work environment. Qualifications Previous experience in customer service or retail. Previous Barista experience preferred. Familiarity with Toast POS or similar point-of-sale systems is a plus. Strong time management skills to efficiently handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. Basic knowledge of retail math for accurate cash handling and sales reporting. Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage customers effectively. A passion for coffee culture and willingness to learn about various beverage preparation techniques. Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays as needed.
