Barista & Front of House Staff Otter Creek Bakery | Middlebury, Vermont Company Overview Otter Creek Bakery is looking for a passionate, reliable, and friendly Barista & Front of House team member to join our crew! Position Summary We are seeking an enthusiastic Front of House Staff Member who takes pride in providing excellent customer service and creating a welcoming experience for every guest. This position requires availability every Sunday and Monday as a set weekly schedule.

Shift:

6:30 AM-2:30 PM There are also opportunities to learn and cross-train in our bakery and deli departments for employees interested in expanding their skills and responsibilities. Responsibilities Craft high-quality coffee and espresso drinks Provide friendly, attentive customer service Take customer orders accurately and efficiently Operate the cash register and handle transactions Stock and replenish coffee, food, and front-of-house supplies Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming workspace Complete opening and closing duties, including cleaning and prep Help ensure the bakery is stocked and ready for service Collaborate with kitchen, deli, and bakery staff to ensure timely service and product availability Follow food safety, cleanliness, and company standards Requirements Previous barista experience is preferred, but not required—we are happy to train the right person! Excellent customer service and communication skills Positive, friendly attitude Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment Ability to work independently and as part of a team Reliable and punctual Must be available to work Sunday + Monday every week as a set schedule Must be available for the 6:30 AM-2:30 PM shift Ability to lift up to 20 lbs.
