Job Summary Join our Good Bagels as a Barista, where your passion for coffee and customer service will create memorable experiences for every guest. In this energetic role, you will craft delicious beverages, manage retail sales transactions, and ensure a welcoming environment. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills in food and beverage preparation, sales, and customer engagement. Duties Prepare a variety of non-alcoholic beverages including coffee, tea, and specialty drinks with precision and care. Operate POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS to process retail sales transactions accurately and efficiently. Handle cash register operations, process cash transactions, and give correct change using retail math skills. Maintain cleanliness of the café area by cleaning equipment, counters, and seating areas regularly to uphold food safety standards. Provide excellent customer service by greeting guests warmly, taking orders promptly, and addressing inquiries professionally. Follow proper food handling procedures during beverage preparation and food service to ensure safety and quality. Manage time effectively during busy periods to serve customers quickly while maintaining high standards of beverage quality. Experience Previous barista experience or food service experience is preferred but not required; we welcome motivated individuals eager to learn. Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is a plus. Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with diverse guests. Basic math skills for cash handling, retail math calculations, and transaction processing. Knowledge of food safety practices and proper food handling procedures in a café or retail environment. Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail. Excellent time management skills to balance beverage preparation, customer service, and cleaning duties seamlessly.
