Duties Prepare and serve a variety of non-alcoholic beverages, including coffee, tea, and specialty drinks, ensuring quality and presentation standards are met. Operate POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS to process retail sales transactions accurately and efficiently. Engage with customers warmly, taking orders, answering questions, and providing personalized recommendations to enhance their experience. Maintain cleanliness of the café area, including food handling stations, beverage equipment, and customer seating areas, adhering to food safety standards. Manage cash handling responsibilities by processing cash transactions, giving correct change, and balancing registers at shift end. Assist with food preparation tasks such as assembling baked goods or light snacks as needed for customer orders. Support team members during busy periods by managing time effectively and ensuring smooth service flow. Requirements Previous barista experience or food service experience is highly preferred; familiarity with café operations is a plus. Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and positively with diverse guests. Basic math skills for handling cash transactions accurately and performing retail math calculations. Knowledge of POS systems like Aloha POS or Micros POS is advantageous; training will be provided if necessary. Ability to stand for extended periods, lift moderate weights, and perform cleaning duties consistently throughout your shift. Commitment to food safety standards and proper food handling procedures.
