Job Description

We are hiring for a full-time lead barista (available hours up to 38 hours a week). Must have at least 2 years of experience in a coffee shop environment.

At Firehouse Coffee, we value customer service, high quality, dependability, productivity, and speed. We have both indoor and drive through queues which makes our operation unique and requires prioritization, urgency, organizational skills as well as the ability to multitask. Operating hours are Monday - Saturday from 6:30am-4pm. We believe in work-life balance and taking the time on Sundays to rest. Looking for someone to be available 5 days a week that can cover specifically Tuesday - Saturday. For this position there will be a few Open to Close shifts (6am - 4pm) and a couple of half shifts.

Training is a 2-week period of 30-36 hours total (Part time) and once completed with training, there will be opportunity for full time. Training period is essential as full time hours cannot be provided if not fully completed with training.

For this position there will be a probationary period of 30, 60, and 90 days.

After training, we still practice "check-ins" and constructive feedback to make sure operation is consistent and quality is prioritized.

Everyone is first trained to be able to work all around the shop, such as shop management, cleaning/restocking, food handling and serving, drink assisting, POS management, and making hot, iced, and blended drinks.

As a local coffee shop that has a high volume of regular customers, we appreciate cover letters explaining your thoughts and experiences on customer service and what you value in a coffee shop. We value positive attitude, ability to communicate and receive constructive feedback, dependability, and honesty.

Please feel free to send over your resume if you are interested with a good phone number and email.

Thank you!
