OwnerThe Cabin Drive Thru is located about 3 Miles east of The Bridge of the Gods on Washington State Highway 14. We are on the east end of Stevenson, Washington. Approximately 22 miles west of White Salmon, Washington. We are directly across from Cascade Locks, Oregon. About 10-15 miles from Multnomah Falls. We are a family friendly establishment and are visited frequently by locals, tourists and hikers.

Job Summary:

The position is responsible for preparing and serving beverages and food items in a drive-thru setting, ensuring customer satisfaction and maintaining cleanliness and order in the work area. We value a positive attitude and good communication skills. We work in a fast-paced and sometimes loud environment.

Washington State Food Handler's Card RequiredDuties and Responsibilities:

Prepare and serve tea, coffee, espresso, shakes, and smoothie beverages according to established recipes.

Heat, prep, and assemble food items for customer orders.

Provide excellent customer service and maintain positive attitude in a fast-paced drive-thru environment.

Perform deep cleaning tasks to maintain a sanitary work environment.

Handle cash and card transactions accurately.

Restock supplies and inventory as needed.

Adhere to health and safety regulations.

Perform other related duties, as assigned.

Skills:

Effective communication with staff and customers in a sometimes loud environment.

Ability to work collaboratively as a team in high stress, fast-paced environment.

Basic math skills for handling transactions.

Ability to operate coffee machines, ice cream machine and kitchen equipment.

Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.

Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Experience Required:

Previous experience in food service and/or food preparation required.

Physical Demands:

Ability to walk and stand for extended periods.

Regularly required to use hands, talk and hear.

Frequently required to stoop, climb a step stool, and reach with hands and arms.

Ability to lift up to 25 pounds on a regular basis.

Work Environment:

Fast-paced drive-thru setting.

Exposure to hot beverages and kitchen equipment.

The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.

Availability:

Employee schedules can fluctuate as the hospitality industry in The Gorge can change. We are currently looking for an employee to work 3-4 shifts weekly. (Approximately 6 hour shifts). Based on the employee's skill level, you may be able to pick up additional shifts.

Must be Available Thursday-SundaySummer (Memorial Day-Labor Day)Summer shifts are typically longer. We are open 7 days a week and may expand our hours of service. Approximately 6-7 hours each shift. Friday-Monday are very peak times and availability at these times is important. The Summer months between June-July we require staff to be available for these high volume times.

Winter Season (Mid September-February)We are closed on Wednesdays. Staffing during the winter season is heavily based on skill level as we do not have as many shifts available at this time. Based on business, shifts be range from 3-7 hours a day. Typically, in March we begin to pick up business quite dramatically. We typically close for 2 weeks in October for owner's vacation. We are closed on Thanksgiving and Christmas Day, some other holidays.

Pay:

WA State Minimum Wage + Shared TipsEmployees tend to average an additional $10-$30 an hour in tips.
