Job Summary The Barista position performs several job duties, taking orders and making coffee, tea and other drinks to customer specifications. Operates cash registers and credit card machines. Responsibilities 1. Sets up for start of shift to include stocking and cleaning 2. Prepares and serves hot and cold drinks such as coffee, tea, artisan and specialty beverages. 3. Ensures products are fully stocked to include display counters and storage items 4. Cleaning and sanitizing work areas 5. Cleaning seating and service areas 6. Ensures that food preparation areas are maintained in accordance with hospital policy and sanitation standards. 7. Able to properly clean and sanitize pots/pans/dishware 8. Describe menu items to customers and suggesting items that are available with a friendly and understanding tone 9. Oversees the storage and preparation of beverage and food products 10. Maintains temperature logs and other required department reports 11. Reconciliation of money with receipts and end of day register reports 12. Able to multitask while ensuring high-quality standards associated with the facility 13. Maintains established departmental policies and procedures, objectives, supports quality assessment and performance improvement processes, adheres to safety, environmental and infection control standards. 14. Attends meetings as required. 15. Performs other duties as assigned. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Experience On the job training
