Your favorite coffee shop is hiring! Come join our fun team. Barista responsibilities include educating customers on our drinks menu, making recommendations based on their preferences, up-selling special items, taking orders and preparing drinks, lunch and breakfast items. To be successful in this role, you should have exceptional customer service skills and attention to detail when constructing customer drinks and food items. Ultimately, you'll ensure an excellent drinking and dining experience for our guests. Shifts available weekdays (6am-2pm or 1pm-6pm shifts) as well as Saturday and/or Sunday.

This position's compensation includes salary and tips. Responsibilities Greet customers as they enter Answer and interact with customers regarding drink and food orders. Team player attitude. Take orders while paying attention to details (e.g. preferences of coffee blend, dairy and sugar ratios) Prepare beverages following recipes using high standards of espresso extraction and construction Follow recipes to assemble breakfast and lunch items Ability to identify tasks and move quickly and efficiently from one task to another Serve beverages and prepared food, such as sandwiches, salads, cookies, pastries and muffins Receive and process payments (cash and credit cards) Keep the barista bar and deli area clean Prep and make deli recipes. Maintain stock of clean dishes and keep lobby clean at all times Check if brewing equipment operates properly and report any maintenance needs Comply with health and safety regulations Skills Previous work experience as a Barista or Waiter/Waitress requested but not required Knowledge of health and food safety regulations- or ability to learn Teamwork Ability to multi task and identify work flow needs Flexibility to work weekends and early mornings Basic math skills, ability to count change back to customers Ability to gauge customers' preferences Excellent communication skills
